The Kenari Design Competition is an annual initiative celebrating emerging designers, storytellers, and cultural visionaries.
This competition reflects Kenari’s core values of integrity, identity, and intention — elevating artistry that speaks to lived experience, heritage, and the evolving language of fashion.
Artists and designers are invited to submit original work that embodies depth, craftsmanship, and meaning. The Kenari Design Competition is not about trend — it is about perspective, voice, and the courage to create.
Purpose
The Kenari Design Competition is created to:

Recognize and develop emerging talent within fashion and design.

Support artistic expression that challenges convention and expands cultural narratives.

Encourage design rooted in personal heritage, identity, philosophy, and lived experience.

Provide visibility, creative mentorship, and a platform for designers to bring their work to life.
Scholarship Details
Award:

Winner: Full feature in the upcoming Kenari Collection showcase + design produced and archived in the Kenari Vault.

Runner-up: Kenari Creative Residency access + mentorship and spotlight feature in Kenari Media.

Eligibility:

Open to designers, artists, and creators worldwide ages 18+.

Individual submissions only.

Submission Requirements:

Original garment, textile, accessory, or conceptual design.

Written Short Statement (250 words max) describing the inspiration, cultural relevance, and personal meaning behind the work.

Visual presentation: sketches, mockups, or photographs of constructed piece(s).
